Two identical, randomized, double-blind studies (ADenoscan Versus RegAdenosoN Comparative Evaluation for Myocardial Perfusion Imaging [ADVANCE MPI 1 and 2]) determined the efficacy and safety of Lexiscan relative to Adenoscan® (adenosine injection) in 2015 patients with known or suspected coronary artery disease who were referred for pharmacologic stress MPI.1-3 A total of 1871 patients had images considered valid for the primary efficacy evaluation, including 1294 (69%) men and 577 (31%) women, with a median age of 66 years (range 26-93 years of age).1 For more information on these clinical trials, review the following:
